Modern Logistics Warehouse
Breaking away from the traditional Materials Handling Exhibition, with its high overhead and limited quality audiences, an enterprising group of International companies has formed a consortium to organize their own private exhibition.
Using the excellent facilities of Workpoint Entertainment conveniently situated at Bangpoon, Muang Pathumthani, on the out shirts of central Bangkok, with good parking facilities and easy access, the group plan to create a working warehouse.
Visitors will be able to view a comprehensive range of storage systems, using fully operational forklift trucks. Schaefer will be featuring their new Orbiter satellite system, electric mobile racks, pick to light demos on live storage beds and will introduce WAMAS their new WMS system, for the retail /Dc industry.
Crown with be introducing the Wave, an electric order picker for high rise shelving system together with their electric range of high rise reach trucks, with other equipment working, double deep and drive in displays.
Loscam pallets will be used throughout the display area and CoGri Asia will be showcasing floor tolerance measurement, High tolerance flooring technology, and refurbishment solutions.
Interoll will have exhibits of Live pallet and push back storage, again fully operational exhibits with Crown trucks, and Beumer another Germany company will exhibit their Packaging Technology.
The Group hope that we will be able to add to the list of potential exhibitors bring companies who can offer dock levelers’ and door seals, and companies offer RF technology. Organizing chair Schaefer’s GM for Thailand, Xavier Pairada with Khun Sarawut, Schaefer’s country manager are very optimistic particularly as the expo will uses an original concept of having live exhibits. This will give customers a far better perception of how the equipment can operate. He added, “The problem with the larger exhibitions they are normally linked with other engineering activities, so the quality of real customers interested in out industry is limited. The costs are high and stands are static the exhibits are really not very exciting”.
“We will be running short individual 20-minute company presentations, in a separate meeting room through out the 2 days, we have also set the timing to be more customer friendly opening at 11.00 and running through to 20.00, in the evening serving a range of finger snacks and drinks through out the day”.
Eric Geyler Crowns Regional MD added, “We have tried this concept in both Singapore and Malaysia with very positive results, this is our first venture in Thailand, the venue is excellently appointed, it provides all the facilities we require. We have a very good complimentary mix of exhibitors, with some new products launches, which will make it far more interesting for members of the Logistic industry.”
The exhibition, which has free entry to trade customers, is by invitation only, members of the industry who wish an invitation should email Khun Sunee sunee@ssi-schaefer.co.th for their personal invitation.
